The Children's Home (5050 Madison Road) in Madisonville is hosting a free community immunization event from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21.

Children (ages 0-6) and adults can come and get a flu shot. There is also an opportunity to get caught up on other vaccines, according to a press release.

“Immunizations can’t wait, especially considering the times we’re all living in today,” said Pam McKie, chief operating officer of The Children’s Home. “I’m very grateful we have partners like Molina Healthcare and other managed care organizations like the Cincinnati Health Department, American Academy of Pediatrics and our other community allies working with us for Saturday’s event.”

The shots are free, but parents should bring an insurance card and photo ID. The Cincinnati Health Department will using their portal to search for shot records and see what each child needs.

Partners will also be handing out food and hygiene items, and kids who get immunized at the event will also receive a gift card.
