A day just for the girls, Galentine’s Day began as a recurring event celebrated by Amy Poehler’s Leslie Knope and friends on the hit show Parks and Recreation. It traditionally takes place on Feb. 13, but any day is a good day to hang out with your BFFs.

Galentine’s Day Cupcake Decorating and Dessert Sampling at 3 Sweet Girls Cakery — Decorate your own cupcakes at a cupcake sundae bar while noshing on other sweet treats. DIY Galentine’s Day at the Candle Lab — Brittany from The Evergreen Designs leads this workshop featuring DIY projects and candle making. Each ticket includes a wood sign, canvas pillow or welcome mat, plus paint and stencils and an 8-ounce candle.
