In honor of National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, Kenton County Animal Services is offering $50 adoption specials on all their pets from Friday, April 28 to Monday, May 1. The normal adoption fee is $125 and that covers first-round vaccinations, flea and tick prevention, dewormer, a microchip and spay or neuter surgery.
Adoptions are first-come-first-serve, and the shelter staff will still be doing screenings and adopter evaluations to ensure animals are going to the best possible homes.

Cincinnati Animal CARE
This weekend, Cincinnati Animal CARE is hosting a foster-to-adopt slumber party for their dogs being housed at 4210 Dane Ave. in Northside. Fosters will take dogs home for the weekend. If it’s a match, you get to adopt them for just $10 on Monday.
Animal CARE is currently housing new dogs at the Dane Avenue location due to a medical quarantine at the main shelter. They say while the space has been a lifesaver, it’s not an ideal living situation for the dogs.
“This facility is not a second shelter, dogs are living in wire crates, and space is extremely limited. Because of this, we are eager to: A. give the dogs a break for a few days and B. give you some extra time to make the big decision that is pet ownership!” the shelter wrote in a Facebook post.

SPCA Cincinnati
From now until Sunday, April 30, SPCA Cincinnati is hosting an empty-the-shelter adoption special. The $5 adoption fee is thanks to the BISSELL Pet Foundation.
