After temporarily closing due to the coronavirus pandemic, Anderson's Belterra Park and Florence, Indiana's Belterra Casino Resort have announced their reopening dates.

Anderson's Belterra Park is slated to open at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 19 and Florence's Belterra Casino Resort will open at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 15 — both at reduced capacities, with limited amenities and with health regulations in place in order to offer guests a safe experience.

“Protecting the health and safety of our guests, team members and the community will be our top priority as we get ready to reopen Belterra Park Cincinnati,” said Chris Corrado, vice president and general manager of Belterra Park in a release.

“To maintain a safe environment, we will implement ‘Boyd Clean,’ a set of comprehensive health and safety protocols that fully meet the most stringent standards set forth by federal, state and local health officials. We are excited to reopen and look forward to welcoming back our customers on June 19.” (Both casinos are owned by Boyd Gaming Corporation.)

A few of the new regulations included in the "Boyd Clean" initiative include:

  • Requiring face covers and temperature checks for employees
  • Reduced capacity throughout casino floors and restaurants as well as implementing social distancing requirements
  • Increased cleaning and sanitation on high-touched surfaces
  • Increased hand sanitizing stations
  • Safety training for employees

"We are excited to reopen and look forward to welcoming back our customers on June 19," Corrado said.
