Drink beer and celebrate Celtic heritage next at The Banks.
Guinness Cincinnati Celtic Festival is kicking off July 8 and festivities continue through July 10.
Festival organizers say there will be “plenty of Guinness flowing, dancing and bagpipes filling the air, and baseball in the background.”
There will be two stages that feature live music all three days of the festival. The Race Street state will have Mad Maudlin, Lost Celts, Dulahan, Easter Rising, Desmond + Huff, Rocky Creek, Fintan, and the Hitchhikers. The lawn stage will have Irish and Scottish dancing plus music, contest, games and the Celtic Idol competition.
Beer lovers can enjoy Guinness tastings led by certified cicerone (beer sommelier) and U.S. Guinness Brewery Ambassadors Jimmy Callahan.
There will be booths like The Great American Tattoo plus a whiskey tasting tent and food vendors offering up authentic Celtic food.
Guinness Cincinnati Celtic Festival is located at The Banks located at Freedom Way. Admission is free. Find more information at cincycelticfest.com.
