Newport is Haunted tour

American Legacy Tours is beefing up their spooky season offerings with a Covington Haunted & Historic Tour.

According to the description, this three-quarters-of-a-mile jaunt explains "the drama that unfolded in this town, and eventually turned neighbors against each other. In the 1860s, wealthy slave holding families who help finance the rebellion lived doors down from ardent abolitionists and financiers of the Union. On this tour, the group will hear stories about the controversies, feuds, and the spirits that still haunt the grounds."

Tours start Oct. 3 (and run through Oct. 31) and leave from outside of The Gruff at 129 E. Second St., Covington.

Tickets are available at americanlegacytours.thundertix.com and cost $29 for general admission.

Other haunted walking tour offerings from American Legacy Tours include:

  • Queen City is Haunted and Queen City is Haunted Ultimate: To "discover stories of grisly murders, ghastly deaths and other disturbing tales buried deep within Cincinnati's storied past.
