Summer in Cincinnati just got a whole lot hotter.

According to Cougar Life, a dating site created to "empower modern mature women," the United States is chock-full of older women and younger men who believe age is just a number, but Cincinnati outranks most U.S. cities as a "summer hotspot" for female-led age gap dating.

Cincinnati landed the number seven spot on the top-10 list, among other cities like:
  1. Miami, FL
  2. Orlando, FL
  3. Atlanta, GA
  4. Las Vegas, NV
  5. Tampa, FL
  6. Richmond, VA
  7. Cincinnati, OH
  8. Cleveland, OH
  9. Minneapolis, MN
  10. Buffalo, NY

Ok, Ohio!

While Florida clearly dominates for older women on the prowl, Ohio has a surprising presence on the list with Cincinnati and Cleveland slipping in at number seven and eight, respectively. These rankings were made after analyzing the 2022 signup data for the Cougar Life dating site.
Isabella Mise, senior director of communications for Cougar Life, said cougar relationships are not as niche as you may think.

“There are many people who might consider female-led age gap dating a niche trend, but we know that’s not the case,” Mise said. “More than nine million people have joined our site since it was created, and we saw a signup increase of more than 200% from 2021 to 2022. This ranking demonstrates just how widespread this type of relationship is in the United States and might act as a sort of travel bucket list for anyone who’s considering dating or hooking up with a younger man or older woman.”

Cougar Life said around one-third of its members experience judgment for being in or wanting an age gap relationship. The company hopes showing the high numbers for member enrollment, and where these relationships are happening most frequently, will curb the stigma.

"Perhaps the tides will turn and 'non-traditional' won’t also have to mean 'taboo,'" the company said.
