Some dogs from Cincinnati Animal CARE will don their green for the shelter’s annual St. Pittie’s Day Parade at The Banks this weekend.

On Saturday, March 11, beginning at 10:30 a.m., CAC, foster families and a dozen dogs will walk from Smale Park near Paycor Stadium down to Sawyer Point and back as part of the parade. All the dogs taking part in the parade will be adoptable.

CAC will also be reducing adoption fees at their Northside shelter for dogs six months and older and over 40 pounds to $17 both on Saturday and Sunday in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.

“We are just filled beyond capacity with great dogs,” Ray Anderson, CAC’s community engagement manager, said in a press release. “This will be a fun field trip for just a small percentage of them, but we’re always excited to see dogs get out for an adventure and get to be themselves.”

At the parade, CAC staff and volunteers will also be available for questions or to direct potential adopters to other animals at the shelter.
