A new boutique opened on the bustling Vine Street in Over-The-Rhine.
Boutique Bellini, a women’s apparel shop, is owner Aleasha Smith’s first brick-and-mortar space. According to a press release, Smith previously had been operating out of a Little Debbie delivery truck that she turned into a mobile boutique in 2018. She would attend outdoor shopping events and provide drive-up service for home shopping parties.
“I’m thrilled to be opening my first brick-and-mortar store in Over-the-Rhine,” Smith says in the release. “The neighborhood has such a distinctive charm and is filled with small business owners like me who are living out their dream.”
Smith signed a lease for the space at 1513 Vine Street in early August and began making it just right for her. She says she decorated with concrete accents to offset the dusty pink, gold and white palette customers will find inside.
Styling and fashion merchandising is no problem for Smith, who, the release says, is an industry veteran who worked in fashion for years before taking on her own boutique. Throughout the year, Smith attends fashion markets to find fresh new pieces that fit her brand.
The fashion truck is not retired yet. Smith says she will still parade around select items from her storefront to girls’ nights and other special events.
Boutique Bellini is the second tenant in the recently completed Perseverance project, which is a collaboration between 3CDC and Over-the-Rhine Community Housing, according to the release.
“We’re always looking for up-and-coming retail tenants who are ready to take the next step in their business, so we’re thrilled to be partnering with Aleasha Smith as she grows from her mobile fashion truck to her first brick-and-mortar space with Boutique Bellini,” says Lindzie Gunnels, senior commercial leasing officer for 3CDC.
Boutique Bellini will hold a special event 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, with 15% off regularly priced items and 50% off select end-of-season items.
