A new sports and entertainment venue is coming to Downtown Cincinnati’s mixed-use development The Foundry.
Hospitality management company Further Concepts and Investors signed a lease for an 8,000-square-foot space in 3CDC’s development at 500 Race St. Owner Tyler Wogenstahl says the new endeavor will be a place to gather with friends to watch a game or grab a drink after work.
“He wants it to be known as a place that’s relaxing, welcoming and fun – a place for large groups to hang out, watch a game, celebrate an important event or simply unwind after a long day,” 3CDC said in a release.
This new concept aims to have an approachable, affordable menu with American cuisine offerings with Cincinnati favorites and some southern flare. It will also offer brunch, lunch, dinner and late-night options.
“The new space is surrounded by fine dining establishments – but this will be something different. This will be a place you can show up in a suit or a sweatshirt and fit right in – a place that gets people excited to go out, socialize and have fun again,” Wogenstahl said in the release.
Wogenstahl said The Foundry’s central location and the foot traffic that passes by make it ideal as a gathering place.
“The old Macy’s storefront is an iconic piece of Downtown Cincinnati,” he said. “I think it’s going to be a great gathering space for everything from sporting events to live music that will grow and develop into a downtown staple.”
“Tyler is a proven operator with a lot of experience under his belt. We’re confident that he will bring the space to life in a great way,” Lindzie Gunnels, senior commercial leasing officer at 3CDC, said in the release.
The venue is slated to open in late 2023. Further Concepts and Investors has not chosen a name yet.
