Open House is a horror comedy musical about a mother/daughter duo trapped in a house by a sinister realty couple.

The creators of All Your Friends Are Dead, NKY Films, has launched a Kickstarter to fund its new project, Open House – a horror comedy musical about a mother/daughter duo trapped in a house by a sinister realty couple.

Described as a combination of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Rocky Horror Picture Show, NKY Films says the movie follows the young mother and teenage daughter, who trick realtors by pretending to be interested in buying a house, only to sneak into the houses after dark to crash for the night. While this fun little trick might bide their time for a while, the duo have the surprise of their life when they bump into an overzealous realty couple who trap them in a house and refuse to let them leave.

According to NKY Films, much of the filming will be done at the infamous haunted slaughterhouse of Northern Kentucky – Bobby Mackey’s. The mind behind the madness, Ricky Glore, who previously worked on All Your Friends Are Dead, will write and direct this new film.

The cast features Timmy H. Barron (Chicago Fire), Lisa Walton (When the Night Falls, Terror Talk), Ali Delianides (All Your Friends Are Dead) and newbie Jasmine Fondrisi. Executive producer and director of photography Nicholas Hiance, executive producer P.J. Starks and producers Mike Flinchum and Chris Morris have also signed onto the project.

Open House’s music will be conducted by David Kornfield, the Jeff Award-winning composer of Haymarket: A New Folk Musical, who is currently on tour as associate conductor for the Jagged Little Pill Broadway musical. Special effects will be tackled by Trevor Thompson, with makeup and wardrobe by Ashley Meenach.
