The Cincinnati Zoo and Graeter's Ice Cream are collaborating to celebrate Cincinnati’s favorite hippopotamus' fifth birthday.
The ice cream parlor is honoring the semi-aquatic mammal by creating a special Fiona chocolate bar that, if you're lucky, may have a golden ticket enclosed, per a press release from the zoo.
7,500 Fiona Bars were created, and just five contain a golden ticket. Each lucky winner will receive an original Fiona "kiss" painting, made by the famous hippo herself.
Each Fiona bar also contains coupons for buy-one-get-one-free Graeter’s ice cream cones plus $2 off zoo tickets (good for up to six tickets).
The "golden ticket" concept is a nod to Roald Dahl's 1964 children's novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which later became several films.
Fiona Bars are $5 each, and Graeter's has committed to donating a portion of the proceeds to the zoo.
“You really win no matter what, since you still get a delicious chocolate bar even if yours doesn’t have a golden ticket inside,” Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard says in the release.
Supplies are not expected to last long.
By the way, Jan. 22 is the final day to sign up for the invitation-only virtual celebration of Fiona’s fifth birthday, which will take place on Jan. 24.
