OTR's We Have Become Vikings is Transforming into a Twin Peaks Pop-Up Shop

How many "Twin Peaks" references can I fit into one post?

Nothing beats the taste sensation when maple syrup collides with ham. Except maybe these damn fine skateboards.

Habitat Skateboards — along with We Have Become Vikings — are hosting a Twin Peaks pop-up shop, with skateboards, apparel and accessories based on the cult classic TV series. Board designs include a portrait of beloved Log Lady holding her, er, log (it has something to tell you); a very dreamy Audrey Horne; Dale Cooper himself chillin' in the Black Lodge; the Double R Diner — I hear it's where pies go when they die; and the catalyst of it all — a smiling Laura Palmer. (Take a look at Habitat's Twin Peaks offerings here.)

This Friday (beginning at 6 p.m.) We Have Become Vikings' Over-the-Rhine shop at 1355 Walnut St. will transform into an immersive pop-up space inspired by Twin Peaks. You can take a backward selfie (maybe your arms will even bend back) in a Black Lodge photo booth, imitate Audrey's dance moves via the music of local band Tweens — who will be performing in their own Bang Bang Bar — and sip on brews from Platform Beer Co. Channel your inner Coop with coffee black as midnight on a moonless night via Collective Espresso.

I hear that '90s TV show you like is going to come back in style — so snag this limited time merch while you can.

The pop-up coincides with WHBV's Viking Lounge Series, aka monthly concerts often showcasing the wiles of local bands. Past artists include Swim Team, Leggy and The Ophelias.  The event is free and open to all ages. Get more info here.
