Second Sunday, Over-the-Rhine’s oldest street festival, is coming back this summer for its 19th year.

The neighborhood festival is free and runs from June through September on historic Main Street. Featuring vibrant arts and music programming, a diverse lineup of vendors, the Pet Wants Water Bark and a biergarten and lounge, Second Sunday on Main has become a favorite tradition for many and also helps drive traffic to Main Street’s businesses. P&G will once again act as the presenting sponsor.

“P&G is excited to return as the Presenting Sponsor of Second Sunday and be a part of celebrating the iconic festival’s 19th season,” Barbara Hauser, community relations manager at P&G, said in a press release. “SSOM enhances Cincinnati’s culture by way of its diverse local vendors, music and programming, bringing people down to experience OTR’s historic neighborhood.”

The Over-the-Rhine Chamber of Commerce puts on the festival each year and selects its vendors. It says it looks for vendors, especially those from underrepresented populations, who hope to open in a brick-and-mortar space in OTR, with the monthly festival acting as a platform for them. Nomad’s Icing, Brown Bear Bakery and The Bagelry are just some of OTR’s businesses that began as vendors at Second Sunday. Representatives will be available at each festival to answer questions from other prospective OTR entrepreneurs.

Revel OTR Urban Winery and Sam Adams Brewing will sponsor this year’s biergarten at the corner of Main and Woodward streets near Ziegler Park. Another bar will be set up at the corner of Main and 13th. Patrons can enjoy cold beverages from Sam Adams, as well as three handcrafted wines from Revel.

“As a proud member of the OTR community, Revel OTR Urban Winery is thrilled to be involved with Second Sunday on Main again this year,” John Coleman said. “This event is a wonderful celebration of our vibrant neighborhood, and we are honored to be a part of it. Events like Second Sunday on Main are important for bringing the community together and showcasing all that our neighborhood has to offer.”

For live music, Warmth Culture, a Black and queer femme-led music series based in Cincinnati, will program the 12th St. Stage this year.

“We are honored to be part of Second Sunday on Main,” Alexander Stallings from Warmth Culture said in the release. “Warmth is going to bring nothing but good vibes that will make Main Street want to dance.”

The Second Sunday season kicks off on June 11. Here are the dates and themes for each festival:

  • June 11: PRIDE on Main
  • July 9: Music City on Main
  • August 13: Second Line Sunday on Main
  • Sept. 10: Sustain on Main

All festivals are held from noon to 5 p.m. on Main Street between 12th and Liberty streets.
