Spruce is moving to Findlay Market

Spruce, Over-the-Rhine's natural and non-toxic nail salon, is moving from its current location on Vine Street to a spot in nearby Findlay Market.

The new salon at 1818 Race St. will take the shop from 1,300 square feet to 2,400 square feet and make room for additional pedicure and manicure stations, double their retail space and add larger treatment rooms, Spruce says. It will also allow them added space for skincare treatments.

The shop posted the info on its Facebook page and website saying, "After 4 years we have outgrown our current space, and we are ready to expand.  When we first opened our doors in 2015 with 5 employees, we thought how crazy it would be if there were ever 10 of us. Now, moving into 2020 we have almost 25 employees, and our team is ready to grow even more! This new space is our opportunity to create room for not only nail services, but for our growing skincare department as well."

Spruce's Vine Street location will be open through the holidays, with all appointments and hours remaining the same. The plan is to close Jan. 1 and reopen Jan. 7 in the Findlay location.

Spruce writes on its website, "We love being able to offer retail that we love, and the new space means we will have more room to share with you our favorite non-toxic products. We'll be able to explore adding more services, learn new techniques, and host bigger, better parties and markets."

A note for those seeking 2020 appointments: "We typically open our books out two months to the day. In this case we will just be pushing back opening our books by two weeks, so you will be able to book your January appointments after November 21st."
