Over-the-Rhine’s Washington Park will transform into a dog adoption hub this weekend with its “Mutt Madness” event.

Canine lovers will have an opportunity to meet and adopt dogs from local agencies and rescues across the Greater Cincinnati area, as well as shop from pet-focused vendors and donate dog food to a local organization.

The one-day-only event will take place 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, March, 20 and is free to attend.

The event will host nine local rescues, including Animal Friends Humane Society, Campbell County FURever Friends, Lucky Tales Rescue and more. Each rescue will showcase dogs that are readily available and looking for their “fur-ever” home.

Pet-centric vendors such as One Girl 2 Pitties Barkery, which produces small batches of dog treats with no preservatives and all-natural ingredients, will be on-site.

Mutt Madness is also hosting an animal food donation that benefits SPCA Cincinnati’s Chow Now Pantry.
