Second Sunday on Main is back this weekend with a special theme: "Sustain on Main."
Along with three stages of live music from Cincinnati Music Accelerator, dance performances, a parade and the usual slew of vendors, crafters and a biergarten (featuring products from Revel OTR and MadTree), the theme will play out with a focus on local green and sustainable businesses.
Great Parks of Hamilton County and the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden will be on hand. And in partnership with Kroger's Zero Hunger | Zero Waste initiative, attendees can expect a food rescue showdown as local chefs show tasty ways to reduce food waste in a friendly competition.
There will also be a "water bark" for dogs, with a wading pool, fire hydrant-style sprayer and a dog-activated water fountain.
As Sunday also marks the first Bengals home game — against the Pittsburgh Steelers — there will also be a special halftime show from Q-KIDZ Dance Team. The Woodward Theater will be screening the game for free (RSVP via EventBrite).
Second Sunday on Main takes place noon-5 p.m. Sept. 11. Admission is free.
Main Street, between 12th and Liberty streets, Over-the-Rhine.
