Tacos and tunes are slated to take over Covington Plaza this June.

The second-annual "FedEx Ground Rockin Taco Festival" runs from June 24-26 and offers "a splash of Latino culture on the banks of the Ohio River," per an event description. The weekend is slated to include Mexican street-style eats from a dozen vendors, live music, family-friendly activities, beer and margaritas. The description also promises salsa dancing lessons and kid-friendly inflatables.

Food vendors include Mazunte, Django Western Taco, Latin Taste Grill and more, slinging everything from tostadas, tacos and elotes to pozole, nachos and tacos in a bag. There are offerings for meat-eaters, vegetarians and those with a sweet tooth. Sweet Jazz Treats will have special strawberry cheesecake or apple cheesecake tacos.

Local Latin bands including Amador Sisters, Mariachi Azteca and Kumbia Latina will be playing all weekend. The schedule also shows a Selena costume contest on Saturday.
