The Cincinnati Donauschwaben Society touts its Oktoberfest as the region's most authentic, and we can see why.

To celebrate the society's 29th anniversary, this weekend's Oktoberfest in Colerain will pull out all the stops when it comes to German heritage. Here's just some of what Oktoberfest will have:

  • stuffed cabbage
  • goulash with spätzle
  • homemade tortes and pastries
  • funnel cakes
  • goetta

The event also will feature traditional German dress, a parade, a log-sawing contest, German dance groups and a car show.
