The nonprofit Play Library is a storefront space that loans out and houses toys, board games and assorted other fun items for the public to use. According to its mission statement, the goal is "to connect families, friends and communities through playing together." (It's also home to the Cincinnati Toy History Museum.)
Originally launched via a People's Liberty grant, the library first opened in Findlay Market's Globe gallery space before relocating to a space at 1517 Elm St. in 2017. The library just moved again to a larger, new space at 1306 Main St., opening its doors June 1.
And the games aren't just for kids. Visit the new Play Library storefront for an evening of 21-and-up beer and board games during the aptly named Beer 'n Board Game nights.
Choose from more than 1,000 board games and enjoy provided Rhinegeist beer and snacks.
The next grown-up night is 6-9 p.m. June 20. $15. The Play Library, 1306 Main St., Over-the-Rhine, facebook.com/playlibrary.
