Looking for a reason to take a weekend road trip? Airbnb has just announced the most "hospitable" host in all of Ohio — and the property is only about a three-hour drive away.
Airbnb recently released a report ranking the most hospitable hosts in each of the 50 states, and Jennifer from Perrysburg (just outside of Toledo) and her “private guesthouse on scenic property!” were Ohio's No. 1.
The report was looking for hosts who had a minimum of 100 reviews and 100% 5-star reviews for cleanliness, check-in and communication.
Airbnb says Jennifer (whose last name they aren't releasing) "has had over 350 reviews at her guesthouse — without ever once getting less than a 5 star review in these critical hospitality and safety categories."
Apparently nine other hosts in Ohio also got 5 stars in those categories, but Jennifer had the most number of reviews.
Her property description reads:
This little gem sits on 2 acres of beautiful land with mature trees. Our little cottage is only 500 sq. ft. So it’s ideal for 2 people but will accommadate (sic) up to 4 for short trips and weary travelers. We are just 1/4 of a mile away from W.W. Night Nature Preserve for morning or evening walks! We are conveniently located just 3 minutes away from the 75/I80 interchange with several stores and restaurants just 1 exit away! We love our military so ask about our discount after booking!
Jennifer told Airbnb she is a professional house cleaner and enjoys creating a comfortable environment for guests. “It has given me a lot of opportunities to serve people," she said.
Among her recent ratings, a user named Jason said, "You know when you find a hidden gem you don’t want to tell anyone else out of fear it might be taken next time you want it? That’s this place. Easily the best AirBnB experience we’ve had and we will be back for sure."
One review also mentioned Jennifer provided guests farm fresh eggs from her own chickens.
As for what's in Perrysburg? The visitors bureau says: "From the Farmer’s Market to a historical battlefield and from a scenic river to a round of golf (both traditional and Frisbee), Perrysburg has what it takes to ensure you always have something to do — unless you prefer to do nothing at all. It’s a great place to do that as well."
