3CDC and Vegan Earth are hosting Vegan Earth Day at Fountain Square.
This year's Earth Day, take a tip from Bart Simpson and, "Don't have a cow, (man)!"
To make that easy for you, 3CDC
and Vegan Earth
, a Cincinnati-based non-profit, are hosting Vegan Earth Day at Fountain Square on April 22 to promote the reduction in global meat and dairy consumption.
Vegan Earth Day will have vegan food trucks, local vegan food vendors, live music and "information sharing" at Downtown Cincinnati's Fountain Square from 11 a.m. -1:30 p.m., according to a press release.
Vegan Earth welcomes the like-minded and open-minded to "fight climate change with diet change," by trying something new. Attendees can expect to see the following food trucks and vendors at Vegan Earth Day: Rollin’ Bowls Food Truck, Vegan Treats, Meat and Eats Food Truck, Fire on High Food Truck, 100 food cart, Essen Kitchen, Evolve Bakeshop, Herban Vegans, Like Mom's Only Vegan and Harmony Plant Fare.

The event echoes Cincinnati City Council's passing of the Green Cincinnati Plan
in early 2008, which started the years-old commitment to reduce meat and dairy consumption within the city to slow global warming (now called climate change). The Humane League
reports that increased demand for animal products increases industry emissions of greenhouse gasses carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide and methane into the atmosphere.
Fountain Square is located at 520 Vine St., Downtown.
