While you wait for Cincinnati Ballet’s annual presentation of The Nutcracker (Dec. 13-24) to take over Music Hall, see another one of Tchaikovsky’s classics — Swan Lake — at the Taft Theatre.
The Ukraine’s National Ballet Theatre of Odessa brings 55 dancers to the United States on the troupe’s first tour of America to perform this romantic tale of a prince, a swan maiden and an evil spell. The full-scale production features music from Tchaikovsky and choreography from Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov in four acts.

This full-scale production, set to the music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky and based on Russian folklore and German legend, follows a heroic young prince as he works to free the beautiful swan maiden from an evil spell. On its first visit to the United States of America, the legendary National Ballet Theatre of Odessa will bring 55 talented ballet stars to Cincinnati to bring this romantic tale of true love to life! Swan Lake is a ballet in four acts with one intermission with music by Pytor Tchaikovsky and choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov.
