A Cincinnati resident will show off what she knows about "Potent Potables" and "Historic Names" when she competes on Jeopardy this week.
Cincinnati's Danielle Linn is scheduled to compete on the long-running trivia game show Wednesday, June 23. In the Queen City, Jeopardy airs at 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday on WXIX-TV Channel 19.
Jeopardy's contestant website notes that Linn is a "historian auctioneer." According to Linn's LinkedIn profile, she is a specialist at Cowan's Auctions, an auction house of global items with additional offices in Cleveland and Denver. Linn's previous positions were in historical manuscripts and drawings.
She has a Bachelor's of Science in history and medieval studies from Wake Forest University and a Master's Degree in library and information science from Indiana University Bloomington. A story in the Cincinnati Enquirer says that Linn lives in Kennedy Heights.
Beloved Jeopardy host Alex Trebek passed away from pancreatic cancer in November 2020 after hosting the show for 37 seasons, and a carousel of guest hosts have led Jeopardy since production resumed. Savannah Guthrie, journalist and co-anchor of NBC's Today, will host Linn's episode — or episodes, if Linn cunningly bets and wagers during the game.
Watch below as Guthrie shares a behind-the-scenes look at Jeopardy with her Today co-hosts.
