Westwood's popular Second Saturdays street festivals are getting an update to comply with coronavirus health and safety best practices.

Embrace the West Side neighborhood's arts and culture during Westwood Second Saturdays CURBED noon-6 p.m. Aug. 8 and Sept. 12. The free events will take place throughout Westwood in the area surrounding the historic business district.

“We believe that coming together in community and providing support to local businesses and artists in all mediums is still important," says Jessica Thayer, project manager for Second Saturdays, in a release. "Westwood Second Saturdays CURBED is like a community-wide art walk that allows us to do both while keeping everyone safe."

Not only will guests have the opportunity to shop local vendors, but they will also have the chance to wander the streets of Westwood. A digital map and print maps will be made available with a schedule and locations of the days’ events.

Guests will enjoy local artists vending in driveways, front yards and parking areas; “Dancing through the Decades” performances by Pones; pop-up performances by local musicians and DJs; a front porch happy hour; and special eats from local restaurants.

If you'd like to participate as a vendor, visit westwoodartshow.
