Some of Jason Dunham’s blow mold collection

Greater Cincinnati has no shortage of holiday light displays; Kings Island, the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden and Fountain Square all come alive with magic starting in November. But if you want to see something homegrown that will fill you with a real sense of wonder, you need to go to Jason Dunham’s house on Aulen Road in Stonelick Township. Every year, he brings out hundreds of vintage blow molds and hand-crafted decorations and arranges them into mini scenes before adding countless strings of lights to become the “Crazy Light Guy. Here, gingerbread men dance around a cookie house, and the Disney gang plays near an igloo. It’s like Christmas threw up in the most delightful way possible. Dunham is used to random people slowing their roll and even parking to bask in the magic that happens in his yard, saying that the world needs a little joy like this. Santa surely approves.
