Corryville’s Al-Madina Market & Grill is a hidden gem everyone should know about. The Lebanese grocer and grab-and-go eatery serves up a hot bar of lunch and dinner — ask for the shish tawook meal and you’ll walk away with a massive Styrofoam container stuffed with charbroiled cubes of marinated chicken, yellow rice, salad and spicy potatoes. It’s actually insane how much food you get. The vegetarian combo includes tabbouleh, grape leaves, falafel, hummus and baba ganoush, and probably weighs more than a pound. The wraps are just as large, served in a housemade flatbread. The chicken shawarma is roughly the size of a forearm. Made with roasted chicken carved from a vertical rotisserie, add everything from lettuce, tomato, parsley and toum to your wrap, and whatever you do, make it spicy. Bonus: Everything here is super affordable. almadinagrill.com.
