The
Licking River Greenway in Covington is two miles of riverside strolling, part of the Licking River Greenway and Trails that aims to connect Covington, Taylor Mill, Wilder and Newport. The terrain is flat with sections of pavement, gravel and grass, and 17 murals decorate the path along the tranquil river, mostly painted on gate wells (water-flow regulators). Despite its central location, the journey feels secluded; there aren’t any major roads nearby, so the sound pollution is minimal and the mildly dense woods create a beautiful canopy.
