Downtown’s Nada unfortunately cannot host their annual Cinco de Mayo celebration, so instead they’re throwing a “Cyber Cinco de Nada” party. Their chile-mango margarita is making a return, and they’re offering surprise-filled pinatas for the first 100 orders of the beloved margarita. La Ofrenda

Gorilla Cinema Presents’ Over-the-Rhine tequila bar La Ofrenda is hosting a pop-up patio event on Cinco de Mayo where they’re offering their hand-spun margaritas, tacos and other cocktails to-go. The party runs from noon-8 p.m. but they urge guests to come early as they expect to run out.

Agave & Rye is offering several Cinco de Mayo specials, including two for $15 margaritas, $30 half-gallon margaritas and bourbon slushies, $2 canned beer, $3 Plain Jane and Bang Bang tacos and $3 chips and queso. The specials are available for carry-out at all Agave & Rye locations.

Crown Republic Gastropub

Downtown's Crown Republic Gastropub is transforming their restaurant into a cantina pop-up on Cinco de Mayo (which also happens to be Taco Tuesday). From noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, the eatery will be offering a special menu for carry-out, loaded with margaritas, tacos and other Mexican favorites like quesadillas, tortas and more.

Condado Tacos

Build-your-own taco chain Condado Tacos is celebrating Cinco de Mayo by giving away $100 gift cards to 18 customers (nine at each Cincinnati location). To be eligible, all you have to do is purchase a margarita to-go with your meal. Margaritas must be purchased alongside a meal to comply with Gov. DeWine’s guidelines.

Tortilleria Garcia

Every Tuesday, Tortilleria Garcia serves its tacos (with housemade corn tortillas) for just $1 each, all day. The restaurant’s menu consists of straightforward Mexican classics like tamales, burritos, housemade salsas and rotisserie chicken, in addition to tacos, plus classic tortilla shells that are available in two-pound packs so you can make your own inspired creations at home.

La Mexicana

A Northern Kentucky favorite for excellent Mexican eats, La Mexicana is offering their margs with meal purchase to-go in sizes small ($6) or large ($12) — or you can order an entire gallon for $70. Home of some of the city’s best tacos, including tacos al pastor with deliciously marinated pork shoulder, barbacoa, carne asada, lengua (tongue) and sesos (brains; they wash down perfectly with a cerveza). For vegetarians, wide-ranging fillings include seasoned pumpkin flower, corn truffle, hongos, beans and queso fresco. This inexpensive and authentic menu has been known to incite cravings after as little as one visit.

Mesa Loca is offering free Don Julio T-shirts with the first 50 orders for Cinco de Mayo. The modern Hyde Park eatery is offering an abbreviated version of their menu, stocked with fajitas, quesadillas, chips and dips, a salad and sides.

Pleasant Ridge’s Casa Figueroa is offering a limited menu on Cinco de Mayo, but they have the important things covered. The menu includes favorites like casadillas, Armadillo Crunch (kind of like a Taco Bell Crunchwrap), salsa, guacamole and queso with chips as well as 32 ounce pitchers of margaritas in traditional and spicy.

Mazunte Taqueria

5207 Madison Road, Madisonville; 611 Main St., Downtown
Voted No. 1 best place for tacos in CityBeat’s 2020 Best of Cincinnati issue, this Mexican eatery has two locations throughout the Queen City. They’re offering their tacos — along with all their other Mexican favorites like tostadas, tamales and enchiladas — for delivery through 53T Courier (the Centro location), DoorDash, Postmates and Uber Eats. You can order your tacos a la carte or in a mixed combo of three tacos for $9.95. If you’re ordering carry-out, you can also pick up their tasty bottled margaritas to-go.

Veracruz Mexican Grill, located in East Price Hill, will begin offering frozen margaritas for carry-out on Cinco de Mayo with flavor options of peach, lime or strawberry, as well as sangria that can be ordered with your meal. In addition to their spread of tacos and other Mexican favorites, they will also have rotisserie chicken and half chicken dinners available. Veracruz meals are available for delivery through Grubhub and UberEats.

With locations in Blue Ash and Mason, this Mexican eatery has the northern ‘burbs covered when it comes to taco cravings. The restaurant offers seven different tacos, with options including tacos de cochinita pibil tacos al pastor and tacos de pescado. They also have over 15 margaritas to choose from when ordering to-go and on Cinco de Mayo (and all Tuesdays) kids eat free with the purchase of an entree. Both locations have delivery and carry-out available.
