20 Ways to Celebrate Pride Month in Cincinnati
Cincinnati Pride may have scaled back 2021's celebration due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the LGBTQ+ organization hasn't missed a beat when it comes to supporting the region or building community. Restaurants, bars and businesses and groups from across the Queen City have smaller-scale events scheduled throughout June to honor the month-long celebration.

Cincinnati Pride has designated June 12 and June 13 for a Pride Pool Takeover at Over-the-Rhine's Ziegler Pool. As of Tuesday morning, there are still several reservable time slots available for Sunday, however Saturday is fully booked. An Instagram post by Cincinnati Pride announcing the takeover explains that the pool isn't hosting private events this year due to COVID-19, but "we can promote for our community and friends to buy out all the public passes when they go on sale and 'take over the pool!'" The day-long event will feature music by DJ Jayy from 12:45-5:45 p.m.

Cliftons Esquire Theatre has teamed up with Pride and Outreels Cincinnati to feature free recent, classic and independently-released" films on Tuesday evenings in June. Films include
Paris is Burning on June 15,
Ammonite on June 22 and
Tangerine on June 29. All films begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Cincinnati Rollergirls are rolling into Pride month with an evening rollout. The celebration will start at 8 p.m. June 26 at the Smale Park Piano and will end at the Riverside Outdoor Rink where folks can skate their hearts out until 10 p.m. All wheels (or feet) are welcome to join in on the fun.

Northsides Second Place is back, and theyre returning with a bang. On June 13, the bar is hosting their inaugural Drag, Brunch, Bingo event from noon-3 p.m. The event will be hosted by Dayton-based queen Eva Alicia Jane. Second Place will be featuring some new menu items including a salmon lox bagel, English muffin sandwich and fruit parfait.

Cincinnatis Great American Ball Park celebrates Pride this summer with their third-annual Cincinnati Pride Community Night. The game kicks off at 7:10 p.m. on June 11, and ticket packages range in price from $20 to $40, depending on seat location and package inclusions. The first 1,000 ticket holders will receive a free exclusive hat. A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit Cincinnati Pride.

Northsides Mixwells is ready to groove. The bar/discotheque is hosting a Pride Dance packed with DJs and drag on June 19. The party kicks off at 8 p.m. with a series of drag performances and transforms into a dance party until 2 a.m., with DJ Cull, DJ Kenneth Wright and DJ Chris Favorite spinning jams. The event is free to attend for guests 21 and up; guests under 21 must pay a cover.

Washington Park is hosting a shopping pop-up on June 27 with the Greater Cincinnati Gay Chamber of Commerce and Cincinnati Pride. The free event takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature 20 LGBTQ-owned and affirming vendors, including &Sundries, Originalitees, Spice Spice Baby and Queen City Cotton Candy. In addition to shopping opportunities, the event will have DJs, food trucks, drinks and free HIV testing from Caracole.

Washington Park Summer Cinema is in full swing, and the weekly series is celebrating Pride with a special airing of hit 2000 American cheerleading comedy film
Bring It On on June 23. Enjoy a fun and campy classic featuring cheerleaders, spirit fingers and some Clovers in the atmosphere, the event page reads.

Northside Pride is hosting a grand variety show at the Liberty Exhibition Hall on June 19, boasting headliners Maxi Glamour of Dragula Reality TV Show and Jade Jolie of
RuPauls Drag Race. Tickets for the early evening show are sold out, but there are still tickets available for the 9-11 p.m. slot. Tickets range from $10-$20 per person.
