25 Adoptable Pets You Could Take Home From My Furry Valentine This Weekend

My Furry Valentine, the area’s largest pet adoption event, takes place at the Sharonville Convention Center Saturday, Feb. 15 and Sunday, Feb. 16. More than 1,000 adoptable animals from multiple rescue agencies around Greater Cincinnati will be in one location to make finding the perfect pet as easy as possible. From dogs, cats, kittens and puppies to other little critters, all sorts of animals in need of a permanent and loving home will be available to meet and greet and some will even be available to take home that day. Each adoption agency has their own prices and requirements, so fees, applications and waiting times may vary. We've highlighted a few adoptable cuties for you, but if you'd like to browse more in advance of the event, visit My Furry Valentine’s “featured pet gallery” to learn more about the animals and their respective adoption agencies. All pet descriptions quotes from the respective agencies. 10 a.m.-noon early bird and noon-5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15; 10-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16. $5; $25 early bird. Sharonville Convention Center, 11355 Chester Road, Sharonville, myfurryvalentine.com.

Willow
Age: 3 years old / Breed: Chihuahua/Wire Haired Terrier Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: Homeless Animal Rescue Team (HART)
"This little lady is scared upon first meeting new people and will take a day or so to warm up. Once she feels safe, she's the perfect cuddle buddy and would prefer to sleep in her human's bed at night. Willow gets along well with other dogs and doesn't seem to mind cats at all."

BooBoo
Age: 12 years old / Breed: Chihuahua mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: HALO (Helping Animals Lost & Orphaned)
"Hi, my name is BooBoo. I was well-loved by my mother but then she passed away. Luckily Halo was able to rescue me and my bother Yogi. I am a chihuahua mix and while I may be 12 years young, I have lots of love left to give. I am a little shy at the beginning but when I realize you are going to love me, I truly warm up. I am crate trained but would rather be out to cuddle on the couch or be with you."

Wednesday Adams
Age: 2 years old / Breed: Rabbit / Sex: Female / Rescue: Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue
"If you've been looking for a bunny companion, look no further than Wednesday Adams. At 2 years old, her previous family could no longer take care of her, so she ended up in rescue. Theo
Age: 1 years old / Breed: Mixed / Sex: Male / Rescue: HALO (Helping Animals Lost & Orphaned)
"His foster mom named him Theo, meaning divine gift in Greek as there seemed to be no other fitting name for him. Theo is a dog who has been through much in his short 13 mo of life and has remained loving, trusting, and open to people and dogs. Everyone Theo meets is forever changed by his presence. He loves to cuddle with his foster mom by being the “little spoon” and sleeping with his nose in her neck. Theo has the potential of being a pet-assisted therapy dog, or even something more for the right human. He is good with kids and other dogs, but a little too interested in cats."

Pete
Age: 11 years old / Breed: Unknown / Sex: Male / Rescue: HALO (Helping Animals Lost & Orphaned)
"Hi, My name is Peter Pan, but my closest of friends call me Pete. I am 11 years young, I use to live with a family that had kids, but they moved and unfortunately couldn’t take me with them. Cuddling and snuggling are my favorite things to do and I love treats. When my foster mom takes me for rides in the car, I’m not a big fan, so I talk a lot and she tells me not to back seat drive."
