If you follow ‘hip’ folks on Instagram, they probably post an annual #candid of themselves in a field of sunflowers. And most likely, it was taken at Gorman Heritage Farm’s Sunflower Festival. Honestly: totally worth it for the cute pics alone.

This autumnal celebration will put you in the seasonal spirit — crisp, early October weather; harvest hues of red, orange and yellow; cozy hayrides (bonus: snag some hot cocoa beforehand); and, duh, sunflowers. You can pick your own from the farm's field for $1 per stem or $10 per dozen.

As the sweet fall ruffles your sweater, sway to live music or munch on grub from a selection of food trucks. There will also be a market with arts and crafts vendors with goods for her, him, pets, baby and home.

Food vendors include Catch-A-Fire Pizza, Empanadas Aqui, Bistro de Mohr, Chicken Mac Truck. Quite Frankly, Sea Cuisine and more, plus — new this year — a MadTree beer garden.

In terms of live music, The Redemptioners, Wild Carrot Trio, Elia Burkhart and Mullet Over play Saturday starting at 10 a.m. and Pineridge Partners, Katie Pritchard, Green Key and Ceol Mohr play Sunday.

Held rain or shine. No dogs allowed. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. $1 per sunflower stem or 12 for $10. $8 admission; $5 kids 3-17 and seniors; free 3 and under. Gorman Heritage Farm, 10052 Reading Road, Evandale, gormanfarm.org.
