Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week takes over area eateries from Sept. 23-29 with $26 and $36 prix fixe specialty menus.
The chef-driven dinners (and sometimes lunches) offer diners a chance to sample multi-course meals at a reduced rate from restaurants they might not typically frequent — or be able to afford.
Current participating restaurants include:
- Alfio's Buon Cibo
- Butcher & Barrel
- Coppin's at Hotel Covington
- Jag's Steak & Seafood
- Pompilio's
- Taste of Belgium
- Nicola's
- Ruth's Chris Steak House
- The Capital Grille
- Salazar
- and more
This past spring, Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week partnered with Cincinnati Children's to donate $1 from every meal purchased throughout the event to the hospital's Greatest Needs program.
Participating restaurants and patrons raised more than $23,000, which was presented to Cincinnati Children’s on May 8.
“We are honored to be a part of such a great event,” said Jane Hollenbeck, donor relations officer at Cincinnati Children’s, about partnering with Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week. “We are grateful that our community continues to give back in exciting and creative ways like this.”
To CityBeat publisher Tony Frank, this partnership was one that felt like kismet.
“As a father of four myself, I have personally experienced the amazing care and unparalleled compassion that Cincinnati Children’s brings to families at their moment of greatest need," he said. "To partner in a way that advances Cincinnati Children’s ability to serve and to extend the reach to those very families, brings us and our restaurant partners a great deal of pride.”
