Electro-Industrial Metal heavyweights Combichrist recently announced an April U.S. tour with acclaimed Michigan metallers King 810.
The tour will come to Cincinnati's Riverfront Live on April 24. Tickets ($15) for the show — which will also feature A Killer's Confession, Heartsick and other special guests — are on sale now via ticketweb.com.
Combichrist was formed in 2003 by Norwegian singer/musician Andy LaPlegua, who fronted Hardcore bands before getting into electronic music with Icon of Coil. With Combichrist, LaPlegua would combine the two worlds, creating a hard and heavy sound that would also go on to crossover into the Dance music world — the project's albums and singles regularly chart fairly high on Billboard's Dance/Electronic charts. LaPlegua is Combichrist in the studio, but he enlists a live band to bring the music to life on the road.
After several albums and extensive global touring (including a four-month stint opening for Rammstein in the early ’10s), Combichrist released its latest LP, One Fire, last summer. Critics have hailed the album as a return to the project's early roots. Before dropping One Fire, LaPlegua released the creepy music video for album track "Understand," which Kerrang! deemed "weird as fuck."
