On Friday, Feb. 28, a new diner called Rise-N-Shine is opening in Hamilton. The breakfast and brunch spot will serve traditional dishes made from locally-sourced ingredients, according to a press release.
Menu items include steak and eggs, eggs Benedict, buttermilk pancakes and bourbon cream waffles — waffles topped with bourbon-infused whipped cream and powdered sugar. And like any local breakfast joint, they didn't forget the goetta: the Cincinnatian omelet features the oat-and-meat mixture and cheddar cheese.
For the grand opening, Rise-N-Shine will serve complimentary mimosas and bloody marys to pair with any menu item.
Customer reviews on Facebook for the breakfast spot, which hosted a soft opening earlier this week, seem to be positive, calling the food “amazing” with an “incredibly cozy atmosphere.”
The bistro is in the same building as Roll On In sushi and burrito bowls, occupying the right side of the existing restaurant space.
