Yes, another one bites the dust. And by "one" we mean downtown's annual Cincy Winter Beerfest — a weekend-long festival devoted to beer... and eating homemade pretzel necklaces.
Organizers behind the event made the decision to postpone the festival (which was scheduled for March 6-7 at the Duke Energy Convention Center, aka where The Simpsons' Principal Skinner and Superintendent Chalmers visited on their trip to Cincinnati this past Sunday) until February 4-5, 2022.
But, to make a bummer situation a little less bummer-y, they are offering early-bird tickets at a discounted price of $35 for the first 500 tickets sold — after which the price will increase to $40 through Dec. 31.
The tickets will be available for the next three Beerfest events: 2021 Cincy Summer Beerfest at Smale Riverfront Park in July 2021; Cincy Winter Beerfest at Duke Energy Convention Center on Feb. 4 and 5, 2022; and the Cincy Summer Beerfest in summer of 2022.
A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Big Joe Duskin Music Education Foundation.
