Patio at Libby's Southern Comfort

Libby's Southern Comfort is ready for summer and they're kicking off the highly-anticipated patio season with a party this Thursday, May 16. The event will apparently be the first of many.

Entry to the party costs $35 at the door and gets you two drink tickets and food throughout the evening, including restaurant favorites like goetta hush puppies, fresh oysters on the half shell and four-year-old mountain ham. Bourbon slushies, Biltmore wines, Miller High Life ponies and more will be served in addition to bites.

There will also be a DJ spinning music throughout the evening.

Libby's Southern Comfort opened in January 2019 and is helmed by Brad Wainscott, whose local culinary lineage extends to longstanding Kentucky mainstays The Greyhound Tavern and Tousey House Tavern, both owned by his father. They eatery pays tribute to Southern classics with a touch of Charleston.

6-10 p.m. May 16. $35. Libby's Southern Comfort, 35 W. Eighth St., Covington. More info at facebook.com/libbyssoutherncomfort.
