Cincinnati band IN2ITIV3 has been honing its craft in the clubs around town for the past couple of years, earning openings slots with acts like Nappy Roots and Glostik Willy and playing local fests like the Northside Rock ’N Roll Carnival and Adjust Your Eyes.

This Friday, Jan. 23, the foursome will release its debut EP in conjunction with a free show at MOTR Pub (1345 Main St., Over-the-Rhine, motrpub.com). Joining IN2ITIV3 for the 10 p.m. show will be Cincinnati Indie Rock group The Bellowing Pines and local Hip Hop artist Jaybee Lamahj, who will be playing with his group, The Phonk.

Craftily mixing elements of Rock, Punk, Hip Hop, Psych, Reggae, Jazz and Soul into a sound they call "Punkadelic Rock," IN2ITIV3 is fronted by Kelby Savage, who is also known for his work as a solo artist under the name K. Savage. While his compelling solo work trends more to the Hip Hop side of things, it's still wildly eclectic and adventurous, a hint at the progressive mindset behind IN2ITIV3's work. Savage — who sings, plays guitar and raps — is joined in IN2ITIV3 by drummer Ezra Plymesser, bassist Luke Smith and electric violinist Frank McQueen.

For a taste of what the band has to offer before the EP is released, you can check out their performances for Radio Artifact on YouTube. Here they are playing the rocker "Drip."

You can also find a lot of cool advance teasers for the EP and the show on the band's social media.

In the lead up to the release, Savage has been sharing videos of solo acoustic performances of each track on the self-titled EP. Check out "Money Like Water" below and visit the IN2ITIV3 Facebook page and Instagram to watch all of the clips.
