Film Schooled Debuts Thursday

Film Schooled, a Cincinnati-based reality TV show that follows two teens through the filmmaking process, screens its pilot episode 7 p.m. tomorrow. Think of it as a head-to-head, meta version of the 48 Hour Film Project.—-

Per Film Schooled's press release, “Film Schooled is a reality challenge show that follows two teen filmmakers as they race to write, shoot and edit a five-minute film in one weekend. Each teen has a movie producer at their disposal, along with a cast and crew of their closest friends. At the end of the weekend, their films are screened at a local movie theater and the audience votes for their favorite. The winner takes home fame, glory and a bunch of cool prizes from our sponsors.”

The theme of the first episode/filmmaking challenge is “Scary Movie,” which I'm presuming means the movies will be scary. But not too scary — the evening is billed as “family friendly.” Team Blue's Ceramic Lanterns goes up against Team Hazard's Daisy.
