Cincinnati Indie Rock vets Hyperstatic have been performing around town again lately and this Friday the band will release its first new music in 16 years. The trio celebrates its new Witness EP this Saturday with a free show at Northside Tavern. La Cerca and Young Runners will also perform at the 10 p.m. event.

Hyperstatic features former members of the band viewfinder — singer/guitarist Brian Hoffman and drummer Sammy McKee (who's also in Old City) — as well as bassist Mike Fair of The Night Divided and formerly of The Throbs and Haleymill.

Witness features four great tracks of well-executed, classic-style Indie Rock. We're proud to share the EP's lead-off track, "Uptown Underground," today in advance of Friday's release.

If you're a fan of the fuzzy, highly melodic sounds of iconic bands like Guided By Voices, Superchunk, Sebadoh and Beulah, "Uptown Underground" is right in your wheelhouse.

Witness is being released digitally and also on cassette. Pre-order the EP now through the Hyperstatic Bandcamp page
