Covington eatery Lil's Bagels is hoping to make a big impact.
The bagel shop is hosting a fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 4 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m to fight for justice for Breonna Taylor.
Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old Louisville EMT, was shot multiple times by police in March while they were serving a no-knock search warrant at her apartment for a narcotics investigation after her boyfriend fired a gun at them.
"Join Taylor's family, people across the world, and us at Lil's, as we demand that criminal charges be pressed against the Louisville police officers who shot and killed Taylor more than 5 months ago," Lil's Facebook event page reads.
All tips and a portion of the proceeds from items purchased from the bagel shop will be donated to the ACLU of Kentucky.
"Eat bagels. Demand justice for BREONNA TAYLOR."
