Travel back to the time when pharaohs ruled and men could wear makeup without it being a big deal; this Valentine’s Day, an exclusive Cincinnati Museum Center event lets you see the American debut of over 350 ancient Egyptian artifacts dating back more than four millennia the night before the exhibition goes public.

Finger foods and cocktails are complimentary, and you’ll get insider information from the exhibit’s curators and archaeologists.

Unique historic artifacts like a bust of the longest-serving female pharaoh, Hatshepsut, are presented in conjunction with modern 3-D recreations of mummies and detailed models of lost cities.

Stick around for the Pharaohs in Love after-party.

6-10 p.m. Feb. 14. $100. Cincinnati Museum Center, 1301 Western Ave., Queensgate, cincymuseum.org.
