Cincinnati-based property auction company Everything But The House recently utilized their online bidding system to offer a way to support locally owned businesses and connect them with their community.
EBTH launched the special program from April 29 to May 3 and auctioned off "uncommon experiences" from a wide range of Cincinnati businesses. The program raised $38,993 — over $10,00 more than the expected value of items;100 percent of the proceeds go back to the businesses and their employees.
Experiences ranged from a one-night stay at the 21c Museum Hotel with a tour, dinner, spa massage and late check-out to a virtual, private cheese and wine pairing with The Rhined, and an exclusive four-person steak and wine dinner from Jose Salazar and more.
