Cincinnati-spawned AltPop hitmakers Walk the Moon released a new single today. "Eat Your Heart Out" — available on all streaming/download services — is a breezy, empowering song loaded with synths and hyper-catchy melodies. The monster hooks and warm vibes put it immediately in contention for "song of the summer" honors.

"This one means a lot to us and we’re super excited to finally share it with you," the group wrote on social media.

The band also made a fun, low-budget music video to go along with the track.

The single — featuring rainbow-splashed cover art — comes amidst a lot of Pride Month activity and the track's themes of seizing the moment and being yourself make it a suitable Pride anthem ("Hey now, don’t get caught up in the politics/Make good with the cool kids but don’t be a hypocrite/You better savour those golden days/You’re never gonna know when your luck will change/This time, get it right or you’re history").

The band has a new line of Pride-themed merch and recently performed during the Pittsburgh Pride festivities. WtM has long been vocal supporters of the LGBTQ+ community; early single "Different Colors" also had a Pride angle and they've spoken about issues often at shows and in the press.

Walk the Moon is currently touring, performing at several festivals across the country.  They'll be back in Ohio in August; the group is one of the headliners of Columbus' Wonderbus fest. Befitting the band name, the quartet will also be a headliner at Houston, Texas' 50th-anniversary celebration of Neil Armstrong’s first steps on the Moon.
