Another movie is slated to film in Cincinnati — with director Todd Haynes at the helm. His 2015 film Carol, which secured a handful of Oscar nominations, was also shot in the city (including Eden Park and the '50s-style West Side steakhouse Maury's Tiny Cove).

Dry Run is the name of his newest film. Based on a New York Times Magazine article — "The Lawyer who Became DuPont's Worst Nightmare" — it will center around Robert Bilott, a Cincinnati-based lawyer who took on the chemical company DuPont in an environmental lawsuit that stretched for eight years.

The case also was the subject of a recent documentary, The Devil We Know, directed by Stephanie Soechtig. (We wrote about the film in early October.

The legal battle began as a smaller case in 1998 and went on to become one of the most pivotal environmental lawsuits in recent history. Here's a quick low-down: Bilott represented 70,000 citizens of Parkersburg, West Virginia (where the DuPont plant is located) who believed their drinking water had been contaminated with perfluorooctanoic acid, or PFOA.

If you want to be a part of the silver-screen adaptation, the film is looking for extras — and lots of them at that, according to a post on D. Lynn Meyers Casting Facebook page. Focus Features has slated the film to release sometime in 2019, according to its website.

The post reads: "If you're interested in being an extra in Dry Run, please submit to [email protected] with: your name, contact info, clothing sizes, and two photos (one close on your face, one full body). We're looking for all types and ages of people, so hopefully we'll see you on set!!"

Details are still sparse, but big-shot actor Mark Ruffalo is named as one of the film's producers. Nothing has been released, however, if the Avengers star will play an acting role in the film. Haynes' last project was Amazon Studios' Wonderstruck.
