Chef and co-owner David Willocks aims to make everything in-house, including the bread, and calls it the canvas upon which the food appears. As such, the menu reads like a love song to biscuits and brioche and sourdough sandwiches. This hip destination often has a line out the door for patrons waiting to try seasonal and locally sourced main courses and ever-popular options like biscuits and gravy with Eckerlin pork sausage, eggs-in-a-hole and a fried chicken sandwich.

And if you weren't satisfied with just brunch, The Baker's Table recently announced they will be expanding their service to offer a dinner menu.

"Expect to discover incredible Italian wines, hand-cut pasta dishes, locally sourced ingredients and delightful seasonal twists," the announcement on their website says.

"Chefs Dave and Josh will be constantly creating new plates to continue surprising our beloved guests and their (palates) while our bar team seeks inspiration in the extraordinary."

The dinner menu is broken up into four sections: for the table, salads and starters, hand-cut pastas and main courses. A few stand-out items include the chickpea fritters with beet puree and arugula ($13); butternut squash gnocchi with fried sage, oyster mushrooms, and brown butter ($16/$22); and the pepper-crusted strip steak with shallot sauce, crispy frites and olive aioli ($24).

Dinner service will begin on Oct. 17 and will be available 5-9:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays and 5-10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Reservations are available but not required.
