This weekend's theater offerings are music, music and more music.
To celebrate Memorial Day, lots of people typically do things other than theater, but if you want a break from picnics and parks and Taste of Cincinnati take in one of the final performances of Ain't Misbehavin' at the Cincinnati Playhouse (read a review here) or get in line for a ticket to The Marvelous Wonderettes (pictured) at Ensemble Theatre (read my review here). —-The latter, a happy "girl-group" show with tunes from the ’50s and ’60s, was originally set for a three-week run, but public demand has kept it onstage for twice that long. This weekend is it — Sunday is the closing performance.
You can also catch the Playhouse's delightful, summery production of The Fantasticks, but it's around until June 20, so you have time for that one. Whatever choice you make, you'll be entertained.
