The Rhythm Brew Art & Music Festival is returning to Newport, Ky. Oct. 5-7, once again featuring a diverse array of Greater Cincinnati music, as well as regional/national touring acts like the former drummer for the legendary Ramones, Richie Ramone, and popular Indianapolis Grateful Dead tribute band Hyryder. The event is indoor/outdoor, occurring in and around Wooden Cask Brewing Company.
In all over 30 musical acts will be performing everything from Americana, Reggae and AfroBeat to Rock, Electronic music and many points in between. The stacked local music lineup includes The Tillers, Moonbeau, Maria Carrelli, Carriers, Dark Colour, Wonky Tonk & The High Life, 500 Miles to Memphis, Arlo McKinley & The Lonesome Sound, Common Center, The Cliftones, Strange Mechanics, Ernie Johnson from Detroit, Dead Man String Band, Calumet, Peridoni, Xzela, Go Go Buffalo, Green Light Morning, Black Signal, Ben Knight and the Welldiggers, The Grove, Harlot, Freak Mythology, Sundae Drives, Emmaline and Ben Gourley and Jason Wolf of Rumpke Mountain Boys’ Grasspartame.
The “Art” part of the festival comes into play via the various local visual artists and vendors participating throughout the festival. There will also be live art “performances,” and among the kids activities are chalk art and coloring fun.
Various food vendors will also be on hand, and Wooden Cask is featuring 21 different kinds of craft beer.
