In October, Alternative Rock pioneer Bob Mould announced that at the beginning of 2020, he'd be embarking on a "solo electric" (ie just Bob and likely one of his Strats) tour. Following that initial run of January/early-February shows, today it was announced that the Hüsker Dü co-founder will pick up the tour in March with a handful of Midwestern dates.

Among those new dates is a March 22 show at Oakley's 20th Century Theater. Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 6 at noon via ticketweb.com.

Mould — who formed the group Sugar after Hüsker Dü broke up and has also released several solo albums — has of late been touring with a band that features the airtight rhythm section of bassist Jason Narducy (Verbvow, Split Single, Superchunk) and drummer Jon Wurster (Superchunk, Mountain Goats, The Best Show).

This isn't Mould's first solo Cincinnati show. In 2000, he performed with just a 12-string acoustic guitar at Sawyer Point as part of an Earth Day concert. Mould (with full band) also played the MidPoint Music Festival in 2016.

Earlier this year, Germany’s Radio Eins shared video of one of Mould's solo electric sets.
