A local author and English professor at Northern Kentucky University, the memoir marks her full-length debut, having been previously published in The New York Times Magazine, Oprah Magazine and McSweeney’s. Ultimately a coming-of-age story, Hindman finds herself disillusioned and at odds with the false reality that surrounds her.
